Women’s Ministry
The women’s ministry reaches out to the ladies of CLC and the surrounding community in a variety of ways. We have a number of events that minister to the women such as special teas, luncheons, and dinners. The highlight of the year is our annual Women’s Retreat that is usually held off campus at a premier location within an easy driving distance. Our goal is to have a ministry geared especially for women that will provide support spiritually, physically, emotionally, and relationally. Our motto is: “Connecting woman to woman and our hearts to God.”
Mercy Street
Future Dates: (2009) January 6, February 3, March 3
This will be the third year to offer Mercy Street. There have been several awesome remarks from those that have attended during the previous years. This is a relational event for women. It is a time of getting to know other women from CLC and finding out more about the church. There will be testimonies from some of the women now attending CLC. Gourmet coffee, teas, and specialty snacks will be offered. Because of its popularity, this year we will be offering 2 sessions each month. There will be a 6 pm and a 7:30 pm Mercy Street on the above dates. Please register for one or the other time slot.
Christmas
Come and hear life stories taken from that first Christmas. A wonderful time of year to be with other women and share in the warmth and beauty of the season. There will be a meal. There is a $5 charge & will be held in the beautifully decorated foyer. Invite your friends to attend with you for this exciting event. Sign up at an Info Center or on-line.
New Apples of Gold Session will convene in January 2009
A class on mentoring. This will be a 7-week class for younger women, taught by older women who are "admirable & love the Lord." There will be a cooking class, a time to eat, & table talk to discuss the Bible lesson of the week. Call Nikki at 890-9524 for further information. Register by calling Sheila at 898-8811.
