About Small Groups

Why small groups? . . .

  • To find a place to belong and for the genuine friendships that develop.

  • You’ll make friends who will celebrate and pray with you, love you, accept you and then gently nudge you to grow.

  • You’ll discover how to manage the pressures of life and learn how to pray.

  • You’ll learn the significance of the Bible and how to apply it to your daily living.

When and where do they meet?

  • Groups consist of 6-12 people who gather at least twice a month at homes in neighborhoods around CLC, weeknights and weekends.

Types of Groups?

Mixed (singles & couples), Singles, Married Couples, Young Adults, Men’s and Women’s groups.

Current Study Recommendations - Review these excellent resources. They cover Joshua, translating ancient stories into the language of today’s culture; and Judges, where we find God is committed to his people in extreme circumstances. Use these tools to support your vision for the group or select your own. Just remember that our goal is to invite people to follow the way of Jesus. And that journey begins in relationship and ends in life application.

Liquid "Crossing"  

Along the way, we reach points in our lives where we must decide whether to step out in faith and let God take control, or whether to let fear and insecurity paralyze us and keep us from crossing over. Making a crossing always calls for uncommon courage, faith, and obedience. Based on the book of Joshua, Crossing explores the extraordinary things that can happen when we trust God and let Him lead the way. This is a five episode, one story series.

 LIQUID is a DVD-based experience featuring five 10-minute episodes in each series, as well as a 96-page Reflection Guide with questions and leader's tips. Each episode introduces present-day characters whose problems and struggles mirror biblical stories, illustrating that God's word is as true today as it was when it was written. With emotionally provoking videos, introspective questions, and tips for leading a small group, LIQUID is the perfect experience for individual growth or small group study. Cost: $19.99 plus tax in the CLC Bookstore.


The 'Geared for Growth' Bible study notes have been in use around the world for a number of years. They have been shown to be a very useful format for home study groups and personal devotions. The subject of Triumph Over Failures: A Study in Judges is introduced and then broken down into questions for the group leader or individual. There are also points for reflection and prayer. The subjects are divided up as daily questions for the individual, allowing you to meditate on the topic for the week in preparation for meeting together. Alternatively these can be treated just as a series of questions for groups. Cost: $4.50 plus tax in the CLC Bookstore.
